Why do I need a survey?
A moving survey is a visual inspection and inventory of everything you plan on moving in your upcoming move. There are a number of reasons why it is important for your moving coordinator to perform a home survey but the big 3 are:
Estimate Accuracy, Preparation for Specialty pieces, and Understanding your Property Layout.

By performing a visual survey (either in home or virtual) the moving coordinator can physically see everything you plan on moving. By seeing everything you plan on moving, we can accurately estimate the size of the truck needed, the number of movers needed, and the number of hours needed to help you with your move.

In every move, there is at least 1 or 2 pieces that require special handling. By seeing these specialty pieces, we can bring any special equipment needed to safely protect and handle those specialty pieces.

One of the biggest issues for movers is unique property features such as long driveways, steeps hills, low tree branches, or a narrow driveway. By seeing these features, it will stop us from sending and oversized truck and allows us to send a truck that will fit, call for extra moving equipment is need be (for long walks), and be aware of our surroundings to avoid any property damage.
