Western Massachusetts Storage

At Pioneer Moving, unfortunately we do not offer self storage, but we do offer vault storage.

What is vault storage you might ask?

Vault storage is a climate controlled, heavily secured internal storage typically dedicated to sensitive items or items that will be in storage for a long period of time.

What are the benefits of Vault storage vs Self Storage?

Western Massachusetts Storage

First, What is a Vault?

A Storage Vault is a 7x5x7 wooden crate designed to fit Furniture, boxes, and Mics. items. Each Vault is designed to hold 1,500 Lbs. and can be stacked. Each vault is assigned a unique number so there is never any confusion which vault is which. At Pioneer we currently have 45 wooden vaults but that number is growing.

Benefit 1: Security

Each Wooden Vault is located inside our warehouse where only Pioneer Moving employees are welcomed. The first layer of security is an outer gate around the complex in Chicopee, Ma. The second layer of security is a an inner gate around our warehouse. The third layer is a secured warehouse doors where only selected employees have keys. The 4th layer of security is an alarm code set for after hours. The 5th layer of security is Cameras with the facility and around its exterior. Plus a few more proprietary security secrets to ensure we know where it is at all time and there is no confusion.

Littler bit safer than a roll up door with a padlock someone can cut with 15 dollar bolt cutters right?

Benefit 2: Full Inventory

Before anything comes into our storage facility there is a full inventory done which includes: assigning each item a unique number, making notes of any damage or marks on the items, and locating the room each items came from. This can be a time consuming process but protects both the customer from any damage that could happen in transport or storage and protects Pioneer so there can be no claims of missing items outside the written list.

Benefit 3: Padded Furniture

Typically when you hire a professional mover, their trucks come equipped with moving pads. If you hire movers to put your items into a self storage unit, they will use those moving pads to protect the furniture in transport. When it comes to putting your furniture in the storage unit, they take the pads off and begin to stack boxes and furniture, leaving the furniture unprotected and septuple to damage. In vault storage, we leave the furniture padded at all times, eliminating the possibly of breaks, scratches, dents, tears, or stains.
